Here are some of the most common questions we receive about Bas Mesnu Temple. Feel free to contact us if you still have questions.
Ba Mesnu Temple is not a religion. It is an initiatory path rooted in the sacred sciences of ancient Kemet, guided by the principles of Ma'at. Our work focuses on breath, ritual, ancestral healing, and self-mastery. We do not worship deities as gods but honor them as intelligences of the soul. Our practices are not occult in the sense of secrecy or superstition, but rather sacred knowledge passed forward for soul reawakening.
You begin by completing the Begin Your Journey application. Once accepted, you will obtain the required materials (textbook, journal, and kit). From there, you will be guided step by step through lessons, breathwork practices, and rituals in the Per Ankh en Sesen Ba stage.
Yes. Temple Gate gatherings are mandatory for all initiates of Ba Mesnu Temple. These gatherings provide direct teaching, community accountability, and ritual alignment. For students of Per Sesen en Ba courses offered through Soul Sojourner Wisdom Teachings, gatherings are optional but strongly encouraged.
In the beginning, Temple Gate gatherings are held monthly or bi-monthly, depending on the cohort's needs and the flow of the curriculum. As the initiation advances, gatherings shift into a regular monthly rhythm.
No. The course is self-paced. Each initiate moves through the lessons and practices at their own rhythm, guided by the textbook and journal. The only requirement is that your journey begins on a New Moon, which marks the sacred threshold for initiation.
New initiates may enter on any New Moon. While the course is self-paced, the 9-month cycle of study, ritual, and reflection unfolds from that sacred starting point.
No. All stages of initiation in Ba Mesnu Temple are tuition-free. However, there are sacred materials you will need to purchase in order to participate fully. These tools support your practice and prepare you for the path ahead.

Priesthood is not a starting point. In Ba Mesnu Temple, all priesthood training begins with the foundation of Per Ankh en Sesen Ba. Every initiate must first pass through the Peristyle Court, learning the disciplines of breath, Ma'at, ritual, and ancestral healing. Only after this stage, and further initiatory steps, may one be considered for priesthood formation.Priesthood is not simply a role or title. It is a sacred embodiment that must be rooted in lived practice, spiritual integrity, and soul reawakening. For this reason, there are no shortcuts to priesthood in this temple.
